Information Tech (IT) in High School

Information Tech (IT) in High School?
I am going to be a freshman next fall and I am doing electives sign ups right now. I have been looking at this Junior IT class offered. Its not recommended for freshmen but I know way more about computers than the average person. I plan to get my masters in Information Technology and Computer Sciences in college. I have my whole how based on a sever system and run it via my computer. I am way beyond in computers than any Junior in my high school. Any recommendations on whether I should take the class and if so, what should I do to be prepared for it? CSS, Java, PHP, Actionscript, anyhting they throw at me...I already know it!

This class sounds like a class I took when I was in High School. My was called the same, but it was more of a PC basics. Granted that was back in 2002/2003. It sounds like it would be an easy A for ya man. It was for me!!! LOL

Computer Engineer grad here. short answer: sure, if u want to. Nothing you are going to take can prepare you for what you are about to go through in college. So go ahead if u think its fun. Just don't think you are going to get some huge edge over everyone else in the real world because of it. In college, they don't care about what you did in high school

I wouldn't take it. You already know so much so you most likely will just be very bored out of your mind. Colleges will not look at your courses to see if they correspond to your major and future jobs are not going to look at your high school courses either.
