You should consider a Masters in Health Information Mgt. from the College of St. Scholastica (Minnesota), its a online degree and while the college itself is not Harvard.... their HIM program is the absolute best in the field..in the nation. Very respectable program. The University of Pittsburgh also has a Masters HIM program but it is on-campus. These are the only two accredited programs in the world! They also have certificate programs but in order to become a registered HIM professional you have to go to an accredited program and complete it in full. Visit www.ahima.com they have a link to education there. For more info on HIM visit www.himss.com . Good luck

Most of the time in the IT and related fields a degree only means getting the interview scheduled with HR. After that is totally reliant upon the experience gained in the related field(s). Depending on his experience he may be able to start out as an entry level Administrator or maybe even score a management level type job. However, remember it is dependent on what he did in Brazil. Also, what is he interested in? Network design? Databases? Software design? Graphic design? End user support? That will have a big effect on where he goes.

Better speak to anyone who has been to these countries to study and see the opportunities offered by these countries.Otherwise go to a good Consultancy and check out with them.I would have preferred the first option.

I have 31 years of exp in computer technology (systems analyst, security officer, network engineer, contract administrator, business resumption planning, etc). I would suggest to be sure to get some classes in: budgeting or accounting; contract administration; and networking (not computer network, but people networking [who you know, who can help you, etc.] The biggest complaint about "computer people" are they are teckies. They cannot small talk/have similar interests (golf, manufacturing, marketing) like people in other divisions within a company.
